Can You Get Enough Lisa?

I can't! Lisa Falduto picked up the Dare to Guest Design for Debby's Dream Studio using Jenni Bowlin and Maya Road Foundations. Here is another creative project that I totally love.

The teacher in me wants to point out the clean lines she created with the pattern on the mirror. You can use this same design for matting, for scrapbooking a page and even creating art. It is symmetrical with wonderful points that draw your attention to detail. Did I say I love it? I do.
Along with Maya Road Pins and Maya Road ribbon do you see spy Fiskars?
I have to tell you how much I love hand cutting my pattern paper. It looks like Lisa is using her Fiskars Scissors here also.

Thank you Lisa! Be watching as more creative projects continue to come from Lisa and the Jenni Bowlin/Maya Road Foundations.
If you leave Lisa a comment on Paper Fashionsand say "Debby sent me" you can be in a drawing at Paper Fashionsand I'll look for those who mention "Debby" for a drawing here at De…

All About You in 52, Week 39!

Weddings occupy a lot of my thoughts. We are in count down mode for Adam and Vanessa's wedding. 13 Days! Company will be descending a few days before. Bridal Shower, Bachelor party, Bachelorette party, all the last minute details! AGH.......

I wonder what Vanessa's dad is thinking right now. He's giving away his daughter. Jimmy will be giving away our daughter in a few months. Imagine trusting another man to love and honor your daughter as much as dad has cared and protected her. That is a huge leap of faith.

My dad did not do so well about giving me away. When we announced to mom and dad that we were getting married, dad asked Jimmy lots of questions. A little later that night dad cornered me and told me to make sure this is what I wanted and that Jimmy was the one I am to marry. He wasn't in the least joking. Then I learned years later that dad went down to Uncle Max's house to talk to him and he sat and cried. It is a true leap of faith to giveaway your child to a…

Introducing Debby's Dream Studio Guest Designer

I have to tell you every since I "met" Lisa online through Fiskateers, running into her over at Cosmos Cricket and then designing for Fiskars I have marveled at her creativity. I had the privilege of meeting her in person once at CHA and she is the dearest and sweetest person. I want to welcome Lisa Falduto as our Guest Designer for Debby's Dream Studio and Debby's Dare.
I sent Lisa a box full of challenges with our new Jenni Bowlin and Maya Road Foundation. I want to share a little teaser now and you will have to come back a see all that she has created!

Lisa Falduto (Paper Fashions Blog)
All my life I have been surrounded by crafters! Everything from fabric, wood, and paper has been woven into my life, a heavy influence drawn from my parents while growing up. I’ve dabbled in candle making, counted cross-stitch, sewing, woodworking, knitting, crocheting, painting, etc. I’ve enjoyed each craft I have tried and have learned so many creative things along the way.

A Quickie!

I'll be announcing a new Design Guest for Debby's Dream Studio this evening, but I wanted to get the news out about Oh, Scrap.

Oh, Scrap is located at the South Carolina, North Carolina border in Charlotte. Jen Diaz, owner, is awesome as well as her Paper Boutique. It is full of all things fun. Jen is hosting a free crop at Oh, Scrap tomorrow starting at 10 am.

I'll be there doing demos and a free make-n-take WITH at least one of the new products from Fiskars...hint, hint....

Come and crop or come on by to do a make-n-take and check out all the new products Jen has gotten in just for YOU. I'll be there from 10:00 until 2:00.

All things being equal I'll be back at AC Moores in Columbia, South Carolina for a great demo featuring EK Success looks great! Lots of glitter, so bring the kids. I'll be there 3 until 5!

Whew, busy day tomorrow.

Come back this evening for a great evening of creativity!!!

Debby's Dare Demo Day!!

I've been working all day to get all this together. But don't let me fool you, I've had the time of my life with Glimmer Mist, Alcohol Inks, Stickles and more. I think I must get high on the smell of it all. LOL

Our spotlight is on our Seven Gypsies and Mommy and Me Guest Designer, Sudie Alexander of "jumpcreate." She was kind enough to take photos of how she put together necklaces for her daughters using our Bottle Caps.

The demo is using bottle caps to make a Christmas Frame and a Halloween Frame. If I would have had more frames I would have kept going. I loved every minute of crafting. I can't wait until my granddaughters come over and we are going to do some together.

The video is in two parts, but it's chalk full of little techniques I hope you will like. Leave a comment on what you liked.

SPECIAL AT DEBBY'S DREAM STUDIO. I have put together 4 "all together" Mommy and Me Craft Kits. Only 4. There are bottle caps and "fixin's" …

All About you in 52, Week 38

Weddings are on the brain. I can't help it. My son is getting married in less than 3 weeks, my daughter is getting married in April. My mind is swimming with details and memories of my own wedding more than 30 years ago.
We are focusing on our own wedding for the next few weeks. If you are not married, pick an event such as the Prom or another formal/special occasion and answer the questions towards that event. Don't drop the ball here because you are not married. No excuses! LOL
One of the fun things we have been doing is searching for the perfect wedding dress. The whole style of the wedding revolves around that perfect wedding dress. My daughter looked and looked until the perfect dress spoke to her! I can't show a picture for the obvious reason. I went with her at times, Rosemary went with her at times and her friends went with her. It created some fun memories.
Our Vanessa took her sisters, niece and mom and found her perfect dress after trying on bunches the perfect on…

50 is Magical

What a Party! I'm surrounded with Tim Holtz products and boxes! I'll be cleaning up my Birthday Party for a few days!

While we were partying this weekend I received a great birthday gift. My husband brought in the mail and there were several magazines in the pile. We were going through them, "Adam's, Adam's, Adam's.....{{{Scream}}}}." MINE! On page 82...the whole my canvas of my uncles when they were young in Somerset Memories. I did a happy dance all over the house and I'm still a bit giddy. My son's fiancee thought I had lost it. It's been a long time scrappy dream.

If that's not enough I also received an email that Scrapbook News and Review is publishing 3 of my layouts in just a week or so. You can click on the icon on the right and it will take you there. It is an amazing magazine. I did the happy dance on that one too. Can you believe it?!? It's like being 50 is magical. I highly recommend it!
